Position Overview:
We are seeking a Driver & Nursery Operations Coordinator to join our team in a dynamic, multi-faceted role. This position combines responsibilities in driving, nursery operations, visual merchandising, and schedule management. You will play a key role in managing stock, overseeing plant care, and ensuring timely deliveries. Additionally, you will manage sowing dates and planting schedules using Google Sheets to ensure precise tracking of timelines. There are opportunities to contribute to social media, marketing initiatives, and online order fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibility | Description |

Nursery Operations | Oversee plant care and handling, ensuring efficiency and adherence to nursery protocols. |
Safety Protocols | Implement and enforce all relevant safety procedures for plant transport and handling. |
Driving & Deliveries | Safely transport plants and products across the Melbourne Metropolitan Area, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. |
Visual Merchandising | Manage the display and arrangement of plants and products at garden centres, ensuring visually appealing presentations. |
Client & Grower Liaison | Liaise with clients and growers to maintain consistent product quality and address any concerns or feedback. |
Stock Management & Online Orders | Maintain inventory records, manage stock levels, and fulfil online orders accurately and efficiently. |
Sowing & Planting Schedule Management | Utilise Google Sheets to manage sowing dates and planting schedules, ensuring precise tracking and adherence to growing timelines. |
Plant Care | Perform routine plant care, including watering, fertilising, and pest control, to ensure optimal plant health and growth. |
Social Media & Marketing (Optional) | Assist with social media and marketing efforts, contributing ideas and content (if experienced). |
Qualifications:
Qualification | Requirements |
---|---|
Driver’s Licence | Valid driver’s licence with at least 12 months of driving experience. |
Truck Licence (Preferred) | Truck licence is preferred but not essential. |
Forklift Licence (Preferred) | Forklift licence is preferred but not essential. |
Physical Fitness | Ability to perform manual labour and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. |
Nursery Operations or Horticulture Experience | Experience in nursery operations or horticulture is highly advantageous. |
Organisational Skills | Strong organisational skills, with experience managing schedules and data using Google Sheets. |
Communication & Teamwork | Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. |
